The role of Model Builder exists to offer a design, build, repair and service function to all model and animated features within LEGOLAND® California and selected external locations. To ensure every model and animated feature is checked daily and repaired if needed.  Model Builders participate in building events, corporate events and PR related activities which will require them to serve as a spokesperson for LEGOLAND California.  Model Builders are involved in various stages of conceptualizing new & exciting attractions and model scenes for both the park and external partners as needed. Each Model Builder is an ambassador for all LEGOLAND parks and the brand image and as such, they must focus on ensuring that all models live up to the highest quality standards.  They must react quickly to repair broken models to ensure the best possible experience for park guests. In addition to repair & maintenance of existing models, Model Builders participate in the conceptualization, design, production, installation and facilitation of displays and events both internally and externally.  This includes all logistics involving the transportation, set-up, and strike of events. In addition, the Model Builder is involved in construction of new models.  This includes everything from realistic life size models of animals to outrageous caricature models to Miniland Scale houses, cars and people.  The models are designed and built to ensure that they not only serve the aesthetic needs of the park, but also meet strict quality and safety guidelines and to an agreed upon timeline.  New designs of improvements to existing models and features are incorporated whenever possible to continually enhance the guest experience.
